PawnOffers

SMS Terms

Last updated: October 22, 2026

PawnOffers sends text messages about your account and your requests. These terms explain what we send and how to stop it.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help.

The program

Program name: PawnOffers Alerts

Sent by: PawnOffers (pawnoffers.app and the PawnOffers iOS and Android apps), operated by Bred Ventures Inc.

All texts are about your PawnOffers account, requests and offers. We don't send advertising or promotional texts.

What we text

Verification codes (everyone)

A one-time code when you add or change your phone number, so we know the number is yours. Shop owners claiming a shop get a code at the shop's phone number, by text or, if they choose, by phone call.

Offer and message texts (customers who say yes)

  • when a shop makes or changes an offer on your item, with the amount and the deadline to accept;
  • a reminder a few hours before an open offer runs out;
  • when a shop sends you a message or asks for more photos (the text links to the message; it doesn't include it);
  • after you accept an offer, the amount, the shop's address and when to bring your item;
  • when a shop passes on your item, takes back its offer, or doesn't reply in time, so you can try another shop;
  • if you asked us to, when a shop near you joins PawnOffers.

Example: “PawnOffers: Main St Pawn sent you a message about your gold ring. View and reply: https://pawnoffers.app/items/…”

Request alerts (shop staff)

When a customer sends your shop a request, writes to you about one, or accepts your offer, if you've switched on text alerts for that shop. Each alert says what the item is, with a link to the request.

Team alerts (PawnOffers staff)

Alerts to our own team about shop claims and invite requests waiting for review. Team members can switch them off in Settings.

How you sign up

You give us your mobile number in the app and confirm it with the code we text you. That code is the only text you get until you say yes to more.

  • Customers: offer and message texts are off until you say yes: by leaving “Text me about my offers and messages from shops” ticked when you confirm your phone or send an item to a shop (it starts ticked; untick it if you don't want texts, and you don't need it to use PawnOffers), switching them on in Settings, or tapping “Text me when a shop joins”. The terms are shown right next to each. We keep a record of when you said yes, how, and at which number. You can turn texts off at any time in Settings.
  • Shop staff: request alerts are off until you switch them on in Settings, where you can also choose when you get them.
  • PawnOffers staff: team alerts can be switched off, and their hours changed, in Settings.

By saying yes in one of the ways above, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from PawnOffers Alerts at your confirmed number, as described on this page. You confirm that you are at least 18 and are the account holder for that number, or are allowed by the account holder to use it. If you give up or change the number, update it in Settings or reply STOP from it.

You don't have to agree to receive texts to buy anything, and there is nothing to buy.

Texts from shops

After you accept an offer, the shop has your phone number and may call or text you itself about your visit and your loan. Those messages come from the shop, an independent business, not from PawnOffers Alerts. Replying STOP to our texts doesn't stop the shop's messages; ask the shop directly.

How often, and when

Message frequency varies with how you use PawnOffers. A customer typically gets a few texts per request. A shop gets one alert for each new request, which may be more on busy days.

Customer offer texts are sent between 9am and 9pm local time. A text that comes due overnight waits until morning. Shop staff choose their own alert hours in Settings. Verification codes are sent right away, when you ask for one.

How to stop texts, or get help

  • Reply STOP to any text to cancel. We'll send one message to confirm, and then no more texts to that number.
  • Reply START to get texts again after you've stopped them.
  • Reply HELP for help, or email support@pawnoffers.app.
  • Customers can also turn offer texts off in Settings. Shop staff can switch request alerts off in Settings.

After you reply STOP, we may not be able to text you a verification code until you reply START. Stopping texts doesn't close your account, and you can still see everything in the app.

Costs and carriers

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. PawnOffers doesn't charge for texts.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and phone, and we can't guarantee every text will arrive. Always check the app for the latest on your request.

Your privacy

We don't share or sell your mobile number, or your consent to receive texts, to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share your number only with the service providers that deliver our texts (Twilio and LeadConnector), and with a shop after you accept its offer, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms, and will change the “Last updated” date at the top when we do. They are part of our Terms of Service.
